Welcome to the Lost Frames Bureau (“LFB,” “the Bureau,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the LFB website and the purchase or placement of Bureau-issued Assets, archival objects, and related materials.

By accessing the website or completing a placement, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

01 — THE BUREAU

The Lost Frames Bureau is an independent creative and collectible-art institution established around a fictional archival framework concerning the identification, documentation, and controlled placement of anomalous animated artifacts.

References to the Bureau, Assets, classifications, recoveries, archival records, custodianship, and related terminology form part of LFB's creative universe and brand experience.

The fictional Bureau narrative does not alter the actual legal terms of a purchase or create a legal custodial, governmental, institutional, or fiduciary relationship between LFB and the purchaser.

LFB is not a government agency, governmental bureau, museum, or public institution unless expressly stated otherwise.

02 — DEFINITIONS

For purposes of these Terms:

“Asset” means a physical collectible, artwork, sculpture, figure, object, or other item issued by LFB.

“Bureau Artifact” means supplemental physical materials issued by LFB, including documentation, certificates, packaging, office artifacts, printed materials, or related objects.

“Placement” means the purchase and transfer of an Asset or Bureau Artifact to a customer.

“Custodian” means the individual or entity that purchases or receives an Asset.

“Release” means a particular authorized offering or edition of an Asset.

“Website” means the LFB website and associated digital properties operated by LFB.

03 — ELIGIBILITY

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to purchase products or services in your jurisdiction.

By placing an order, you represent that:

• The information you provide is accurate and complete;
• You are authorized to use the payment method provided;
• You meet any applicable age requirements;
• Your purchase does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

LFB reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order where permitted by law.

04 — ASSET RELEASES

LFB Assets are issued in limited quantities.

Each Release may have its own:

• Asset designation
• Edition size
• Release date
• Price
• Materials
• Dimensions
• Packaging
• Documentation
• Placement restrictions
• Other release-specific terms

Release information displayed at the time of purchase forms part of the applicable transaction.

Because Assets are individually produced or issued in limited quantities, minor variations in finish, paint, texture, material, or appearance may occur.

Such variations may be inherent to the manufacturing or finishing process and do not necessarily constitute defects.

05 — AVAILABILITY

The appearance of an Asset on the LFB website does not guarantee that it will remain available.

LFB may:

• Limit quantities
• End a Release
• Change availability
• Correct inventory errors
• Cancel an incorrectly listed order
• Retire an Asset
• Reclassify or discontinue an Asset

If an order is accepted in error due to an inventory or technical issue, LFB may cancel the affected order and provide a refund of amounts actually paid for that order.

06 — PRICING & PAYMENT

Prices are displayed in the currency identified on the LFB website at the time of purchase.

LFB reserves the right to correct pricing errors and may cancel an order affected by an obvious pricing error.

Payment must be successfully authorized before an order is considered confirmed.

Applicable taxes, shipping charges, customs duties, or other fees may be added where required.

07 — ORDERS

After an order is submitted, you will receive an order confirmation or similar acknowledgment.

An order confirmation does not necessarily constitute acceptance of the order if LFB subsequently determines that an error, fraud concern, inventory issue, or other legitimate issue requires cancellation.

LFB reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders where permitted by law, including orders that appear fraudulent, unauthorized, abusive, or inconsistent with stated Release limitations.

08 — SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Shipping and delivery are governed by the LFB Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Estimated delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

LFB is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, weather, incorrect addresses, natural events, or circumstances beyond the Bureau's reasonable control.

The purchaser is responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

09 — RETURNS & REFUNDS

Returns and refunds are governed by the LFB Returns & Refunds Policy.

Due to the limited nature of Bureau Releases, completed placements are generally final unless an Asset arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or otherwise qualifies for a remedy under applicable law or the applicable Release terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable consumer-protection law.

10 — OWNERSHIP OF PHYSICAL ASSETS

Upon successful completion of a purchase and delivery, ownership of the physical Asset transfers to the purchaser, subject to these Terms and any applicable rights retained by LFB.

Ownership of the physical object does not transfer ownership of LFB's intellectual property.

Purchasing an Asset does not grant the purchaser permission to reproduce, manufacture, distribute, license, commercialize, or create derivative products based upon the Asset or LFB intellectual property.

11 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All LFB intellectual property, including but not limited to:

• The Lost Frames Bureau name
• LFB name and logos
• Asset names and designations
• Character designs
• Sculptures and artwork
• Illustrations
• Photography
• Written materials
• Bureau records
• Fictional history and lore
• Packaging designs
• Typography and graphic systems
• Website content
• Audio and video materials

is owned by or licensed to LFB and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

No portion of the LFB brand or its materials may be reproduced, modified, distributed, sold, or commercially exploited without prior written permission.

12 — PERSONAL, NON-COMMERCIAL USE

Unless expressly authorized by LFB, purchased Assets are intended for personal collection, display, and non-commercial use.

You may photograph or display an Asset you legitimately own for personal purposes.

You may not use an Asset, LFB logo, character, image, or other intellectual property to imply endorsement by LFB or to create, advertise, or sell unauthorized products or services.

13 — RESALE

LFB does not prohibit the legitimate resale of a physical Asset by its lawful owner, subject to applicable law.

However, resale does not transfer LFB intellectual-property rights.

A reseller may not represent themselves as an authorized LFB distributor, representative, employee, or Bureau office without written authorization.

LFB may separately establish terms governing authorized secondary-market programs or official transfers of custodial records.

14 — WEBSITE USE

You agree not to:

• Interfere with the operation or security of the website;
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
• Use automated methods to abuse purchasing or inventory systems;
• Circumvent purchase limits;
• Use the website for fraudulent purposes;
• Scrape or reproduce substantial portions of the website without authorization;
• Upload malicious code or harmful material;
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with LFB.

LFB may restrict or terminate access to users who violate these requirements.

15 — RELEASE LIMITATIONS

Some Releases may be subject to quantity limits.

Where a Release specifies a maximum number of Assets per customer, household, account, or transaction, LFB may cancel or consolidate orders that appear to circumvent those limitations.

These measures are intended to preserve the integrity of limited Releases and equitable access to available placements.

16 — ARCHIVAL DOCUMENTATION

Certificates, Bureau records, Asset cards, serial numbers, packaging, and other documentation may accompany certain Assets.

Such materials are intended to document the provenance and identity of the issued object.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Bureau documentation does not constitute a financial instrument, title document, ownership certificate for intellectual property, or guarantee of future monetary value.

LFB makes no representation that an Asset will appreciate in value or maintain any particular resale value.

17 — NO INVESTMENT REPRESENTATION

LFB Assets are collectible art objects.

They are not sold as securities, financial investments, guaranteed stores of value, or financial products.

Any discussion of rarity, scarcity, historical significance, collectibility, or potential secondary-market interest should not be interpreted as a promise of future financial performance.

18 — THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The LFB website may rely on third-party services for payment processing, website hosting, analytics, email communications, shipping, authentication, or other functions.

Use of those services may be subject to the third party's own terms and policies.

LFB is not responsible for the independent practices or availability of third-party services.

19 — DISCLAIMER

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the LFB website and its content are provided on an “as available” basis.

LFB does not guarantee that:

• The website will always be available;
• Website content will always be error-free;
• All information will remain current;
• A particular Asset will remain available;
• A Release will occur at a particular time;
• An Asset will retain or increase in value.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

20 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LFB and its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or purchase or use of an Asset.

To the extent permitted by law, LFB's total liability arising from a particular transaction will not exceed the amount actually paid to LFB for the specific Asset or service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

21 — INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LFB and its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your unlawful use of the website;
• Your misuse of an Asset;
• Your infringement of another party's rights;
• Fraudulent or unauthorized activity associated with your account or order.

22 — FORCE MAJEURE

LFB will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, fire, labor disruptions, supply shortages, transportation failures, governmental actions, internet or infrastructure failures, war, civil unrest, or other extraordinary events.

23 — CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

LFB may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The revised version will be posted on the website with an updated effective date.

Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.

Your continued use of the website following publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes to the extent permitted by applicable law.

24 — GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or a transaction with LFB will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the dispute-resolution procedures established by the applicable jurisdiction.

These Terms, together with the applicable Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, and any Release-specific terms, constitute the agreement governing your use of the LFB website and purchase of Bureau-issued Assets.
